AAIB Commences Renovation of Its Future Facility

The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) has officially commenced renovation works on its future permanent facility located at the James Spriggs Payne Airport.

The facility will comprise modern office spaces and a dedicated wreckage storage and examination hangar, which will significantly enhance the Bureau’s ability to pass the upcoming ICAO USOAP Audit in 2027.

The renovation project is sponsored by the Government of Liberia (GOL) through budgetary allotment and is expected to be completed within six (6) months.

The project is being executed by Infrastructure & Procurement Consultants Liberia Limited (IPCLL), the contracted firm responsible for the renovation works. AAIB remains committed to strengthening aviation safety oversight in Liberia through continuous institutional development and infrastructure improvement
