AIRCRAFT ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION BUREAU
PRESS RELEASE
This is to inform the public that the Liberian AAIB was notified of an incident involving a Gulf Stream IV private aircraft with registration N770KS which occurred on Thursday,May 29, 2025, at approximately 3:21 pm local time at Roberts International Airport. It was a private flight operated on behalf of the government of Liberia from Lagos, Nigeria, to Roberts International Airport, Robertsfield, Liberia.

The aircraft experienced tire burst on two wheels on the left-hand main landing gear after touchdown.The aircraft then came to a stop on the runway centerline and was unable to continue to the terminal.There were no fatalities and no injuries,and the passengers were evacuated through the aircraft stairs.The aircraft sustained damage to the wheels, brakes, and landing gear.
The investigation is ongoing and will be carried out in accordance with ICAO Annex 13.The AAIB Liberia is working in conjunction with the LCAA,the Operator,the LAA,and other relevant parties to determine the cause and contributing factors of the incident.
